Zellige tiles are handcrafted in Fez, Morocco, using local clay and enamel glaze. Each tile is unique, with slight variations in color and shape. Skilled artisans carefully cut and shape the tiles, creating their signature imperfect beauty, ready to add charm to any space.

The Composition

Creating a Zellige tiles involves carefully arranging small pieces by shape and color, placed upside down on a smooth surface using guides like lines and circles. The artisan fits the pieces together blindly, without seeing the colors, making this a precise and delicate process. Once the design is complete, cement is poured over the mosaic to set it, and it is left to dry.
